📚 Tier 3 - Good to KnowID: impression

Impression

One instance of your ad being displayed

In Simple Words (Zero Jargon):

One instance of your ad being displayed

Why It Is Critical

An impression is a single instance of your ad being displayed on a screen - regardless of whether the person saw it, read it, or engaged with it in any way. It is the most basic unit of ad delivery. Impressions are the raw material from which all other metrics (CTR, CPM, frequency) are derived. Note that an impression does not guarantee viewability - it only records that the ad was served.

What You Get: The foundational unit of ad delivery - the denominator behind most ad metrics.
