CPI - Cost Per Install

Total User Acquisition (UA) spend divided by total completed app installations

In Simple Words (Zero Jargon):

How much money you spent on ads to get one person to download and install your app.

Official Mathematical Equation
CPI = Total UA Ad Spend ÷ Total Completed App Installs

Why It Is Critical

CPI in isolation is dangerous. A ₹20 install that churns on Day 1 is far more expensive than a ₹120 install that stays active for 6 months. Always evaluate CPI alongside Cost Per Day 7 Retained User.

'A ₹20 install that uninstalls in a day and a ₹150 install that stays active for months are not comparable on CPI alone. The entire point of tracking post-install retention is to catch this before it is mistaken for a win.'
What You Get: Protection from wasting budget on cheap bot downloads that never open the app a second time.
