📚 Tier 3 - Good to KnowID: blendedCac
Blended CAC
Average CAC across all channels combined (⚠️ Use with caution)
In Simple Words (Zero Jargon):
Average CAC across all channels combined (⚠️ Use with caution)
Official Mathematical Equation
Total Marketing Spend (All Channels) ÷ Total New Customers Acquired
Why It Is Critical
Blended CAC is the average cost of acquiring a customer when all channels are combined into a single number. It can be useful as a high-level business health indicator but is dangerous for campaign decisions because it hides which channels are efficient and which are not. A blended CAC of ₹700 might mask one channel running at ₹400 and another running at ₹1,400. Decisions made on blended CAC alone consistently lead to keeping unprofitable channels running.
What You Get: Useful for board reporting and high-level benchmarking. Never use it for channel-level optimisation decisions.
